If you have lost your 12-digit HMRC User ID or password, use the 'Problems signing in' link on the official HMRC login page. You will need your recovery email address, UTR, or other verification details to regain access. This reset process is usually instant via email.
Companies House Authentication Code
To recover your 6-character WebFiling Authentication Code, you must request a reminder via the official Companies House website. For security, this code is NEVER emailed. It will be sent strictly by physical post to your company's registered address, which typically takes up to 5 working days.
Updating WeFile
Once you have successfully recovered and reset your government credentials, remember to navigate to your WeFile Company Settings and update the fields with your new credentials before attempting your next submission, otherwise it will fail authentication.
