Accounts Software

Companies House accounts software.

Prepare and submit your annual statutory accounts seamlessly. Our intelligent engine handles the complex iXBRL tagging and communicates directly with the Companies House REST API.

One set of figures, two filings

Filing your statutory accounts to Companies House and your CT600 to HMRC shouldn't require double data entry.

WeFile generates both requirements from the exact same profit & loss and balance sheet inputs, completely eliminating discrepancies and reducing your workload.

Intelligent period detection

Accounting periods and your accounting reference date are automatically read from the Companies House API, ensuring the made-up-to date matches their expectations exactly.

Have a period longer than 12 months? We automatically handle the requirement to split the HMRC submission into two CT600s while submitting one unified set of accounts to Companies House.

Built for modern compliance

Filing your company accounts requires a few key elements, which our platform seamlessly integrates.

What you need to file

To submit electronically, you simply need your 6-character Companies House authentication code, the acting director's name for digital approval, and your finalised trial balance figures.

Accounting standards supported

We generate full iXBRL compliance for FRS 105 (Micro-entities) and FRS 102 Section 1A (Small companies).

Notes and disclosures

Fully supported statutory notes including fixed asset movements and depreciation policy, intangible fixed assets amortisation, debtors/creditors breakdowns, and average employee numbers.

What cannot be filed here

Electronic filing via our software is not supported for Community Interest Companies (CICs) or accounts prepared under FRS 102 with the Charities SORP. Those must be filed directly, though you can still file the CT600E with us.

Understanding Companies House Deadlines

Your annual accounts must be filed 9 months after the accounting reference date. For your very first set of accounts, the deadline is 21 months from incorporation. Late filing penalties escalate rapidly with lateness, and they double if you are late two years in a row. Don't risk it — file early.
