Managing your active sessions
What Are Sessions?
Every time you log into WeFile on a new browser, phone, or computer, a new secure 'session' is created. This session keeps you logged in so you don't have to enter your password every time you navigate to a new page.
Viewing Active Sessions
You can view all currently active sessions by navigating to your Profile Settings and clicking on the 'Security' tab. This list will show the device type, browser, location, and IP address for every active login.
Revoking Access
If you see a session you don't recognize, or if you accidentally left your account logged in on a public or shared computer, you can immediately revoke access. Click the 'Sign Out' button next to the specific session to instantly disconnect it.
Why This Matters
Proactive session management is a critical component of account security. It allows you to monitor for unauthorized access attempts and ensures that old, forgotten logins on replaced devices are securely terminated.
Automatic Expiry
For your protection, WeFile automatically expires idle sessions. If you do not interact with the platform for a set period, your session will automatically time out, requiring you to log in again to resume your work.
