Importing trial balance from FreeAgent

FreeAgent users can heavily accelerate their CT600 preparation by syncing their trial balance directly with WeFile.

OAuth Flow

Go to your company's Integrations settings and select 'Connect to FreeAgent'. You will be taken to the FreeAgent login page where you can approve WeFile as an authorised third-party application.

Data Mapping

Upon approval, WeFile communicates with the FreeAgent API to retrieve your trial balance for the exact dates of your accounting period. FreeAgent's standardized reporting categories map very cleanly to the statutory requirements for Companies House and HMRC.

Reviewing Imported Figures

WeFile will autofill the financial wizards based on the import. While the mapping is highly accurate, it is your responsibility as the director to verify that the final Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accurately reflect the company's financial position before authorizing the final submission.
