Hi,
Thank you for getting in touch.
The "submission consistency" check is a safety verification that runs automatically before your filing is submitted to HMRC and Companies House. It ensures that all the generated documents (CT600 tax return, accounts, and tax computation) contain matching figures — so nothing incorrect gets filed on your behalf.
If this error appears, it usually means there's a minor discrepancy in the calculated figures. To resolve it, please try the following:
Review your Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet entries — check for any figures that may have been entered with decimal pence values (e.g. £1,234.56 instead of whole pounds). Rounding these to the nearest pound can help.
Save your filing and then try submitting again — in some cases, simply re-saving triggers a fresh calculation that resolves the issue.
If the error persists, please share your filing reference number with us creating a ticket and we'll investigate the specific discrepancy and resolve it for you promptly.
This check is in place to protect you and ensure HMRC receives accurate, consistent figures across all documents. Your data is safe and nothing has been submitted.
