Previous Year Return

Hi,

Could you advise how to reach previous year return on HMRC? I am trying to file a return on WeFile, but I am asked to enter figures for the previous year's return.

Hi,

The "previous year" figures that WeFile asks for are the comparative figures from your last accounting period — these are needed for the statutory accounts filed with HMRC. They include your prior year Profit & Loss (turnover, expenses, etc.) and Balance Sheet (assets, liabilities, capital & reserves).

You should have downloaded your last set of accounts from HMRC before 31 March 2026. Unfortunately, it is not possible to download your submitted returns on your Government Gateway account as of the above mentioned date. If you filed a CT600 last year with another provider, you can contact them to ask a copy of your return.

Thank you!

I directly filed with HMRC on my Government Gateway account. Now, I cannot reach the copy due to the reason you mentioned. It is a fool of me!

I will try to file the return without the previous year's figures...
