Hi,

The Trading Losses Carry-Back field (which populates Box 45 on the CT600) is available in the filing wizard, but it only appears when your company has a trading loss for the period.

You'll find it on the Profit & Loss step of the filing wizard. If your total expenses exceed your income — resulting in a trading loss — a "Trading losses to carry back" input field will automatically appear in the form. Simply enter the amount you wish to carry back to the previous accounting period.

If your company is profitable for this period (i.e. no trading loss), the field won't be shown as there would be no loss available to carry back.

If you believe your figures do result in a trading loss but you're still not seeing the field, please double-check that your income and expense entries are correct, and feel free to get back to us with more details so we can look into it.
